Getting Started

START - Activate Your Wallet

START

Activates your MNEE wallet and accepts any pending incoming payments. If someone sends you money before you have a wallet, you have 24 hours to reply with START to claim it.

First Payment?

If you receive money before having a wallet, we'll notify you and create a temporary wallet. Reply START within 24 hours to claim it, or the funds will be returned to the sender.

View your current MNEE and BSV balances with the total USD value.

Example Response:

DEPOSIT - Get Your Wallet Address

DEPOSIT

Get your wallet's address to receive MNEE or BSVdeposits from exchanges or other wallets.

Example Response:

Sending Money

SEND - Transfer Money MNEE Default

SEND $amount recipient [BSV]

Send money to anyone via phone number, handle (@username), or MNEE/BSV address. By default, sends MNEE stablecoin. Add "BSV" at the end to send BSV instead.

Examples:

PIN Required

After sending the SEND command, you'll be prompted to enter your PIN to authorize the transaction. If you don't have a PIN set up yet, you'll be guided through setting one.

New Recipient?

If the recipient doesn't have a wallet yet, we'll create a temporary one and notify them. They have 24 hours to reply START to claim the funds.

PIN Security

PIN Setup - Secure Your Wallet

PIN 1234

The first time you send money, you'll be prompted to set a 4-6 digit PIN. Your PIN encrypts your private key and is required for all transactions.

Setting Your PIN:

1. Send a transaction: SEND $5 @alice
2. System prompts: "Set a 4-6 digit PIN for your wallet. Reply: PIN 1234"
3. Reply: PIN 5678
4. Transaction proceeds automatically

Security Features

Failed Attempts: After 3 incorrect PIN attempts, your wallet is locked for 10 minutes.
Abort: Reply "ABORT" at any time to cancel a pending transaction.

Profile & Handles

NAME - Set Your Display Name

NAME yourName

Set a display name that appears when you send or receive money.

Example:

NAME Alice Smith

CLAIM HANDLE - Get a Username ($3)

CLAIM HANDLE @yourHandle

Purchase a unique handle (username) for $3. Payment uses MNEE by default, falls back to BSV if insufficient MNEE balance. Handles make it easy for others to send you money without knowing your phone number.

Example:

CLAIM HANDLE @alice

You'll be prompted for your PIN to authorize the $3 payment.

Handle Requirements

Your first handle purchase costs $3 and requires a PIN. Payment tries MNEE first, then BSV if needed. Handles must be unique and start with @.

PIN Required

After the /send command, you'll receive a prompt asking for your PIN to authorize the transaction. Reply with your PIN or "ABORT" to cancel.

Get your address for receiving MNEE/BSV deposits from exchanges or other wallets.

/create - Create New Wallet

/create

Create a new MNEE/BSV wallet tied to your Telegram account. Required before using any other commands.

First Time Setup

You must run /create before using any other commands. This generates your wallet and prepares it for PIN protection.

/key - Secure Private Key Export

/key

Export your private key securely via a one-time link that expires in 5 minutes. Critical for wallet recovery and backup.

How It Works:

1. Send /key command
2. Receive a one-time link valid for 5 minutes
3. Click the link to view your private key
4. Link becomes invalid after first use

Critical Security

Never share your private key! Anyone with your private key has full access to your funds. Store it securely offline. The one-time link ensures the key is only viewed once and expires quickly.

Unlike traditional custodial wallets, Text MNEE uses PIN-based encryption to give you full control:

• Your private key is encrypted with your PIN
• Only you know your PIN - we never store it
• Even if our servers are compromised, your funds stay safe
• You have full control of your money

Setting Up Your PIN

First Transaction PIN Setup

The first time you send money, you'll be prompted to set a PIN:

Step-by-Step:

1. Send a transaction: SEND $5 @alice
2. System prompts: "Set a 4-6 digit PIN for your wallet. Reply: PIN 1234"
3. You reply: PIN 5678
4. Result: PIN is set and transaction proceeds automatically

PIN Requirements

• Must be 4-6 digits
• Choose something memorable but not obvious
• Cannot be changed once set (security measure)

Transaction Authorization

PIN Confirmation Flow

Every transaction requires PIN confirmation to ensure security:

Transaction Flow:

1. Initiate send: SEND $10 @bob
2. System confirms: "Confirm: Send $10.00 to @bob? Reply with your PIN or ABORT to cancel."
3. You reply: 1234 (your PIN)
4. Result: Transaction executes and confirmation sent

Safety Features

• Confirmation shows exact amount and recipient
• Reply "ABORT" at any time to cancel
• Transaction expires if not confirmed within reasonable time

Security Protections

Failed Attempts & Lockout

Text MNEE protects against brute force attacks with automatic lockout:

Lockout Policy

3 failed PIN attempts → Account locked for 10 minutes
During lockout: All transactions blocked
After lockout: Attempts reset and access restored

What Happens:

Attempt 1 (wrong): "Incorrect PIN. Try again or reply ABORT."
Attempt 2 (wrong): "Incorrect PIN. Try again or reply ABORT."
Attempt 3 (wrong): "Too many failed attempts. Try again in 10 minutes."

Token Selection

MNEE vs BSV MNEE BSV

Text MNEE supports two token types with different use cases:

MNEE Stablecoin (Default)

What: 1:1 USD stablecoin on BSV blockchain
Best for: Everyday transactions, stable value
Send: SEND $5 @alice (no token specified = MNEE)

BSV (Bitcoin SV)

What: Native blockchain currency with market price
Best for: Investments, trading, larger amounts
Send: SEND $5 @alice BSV (must specify BSV)

Why MNEE is Default:

Most users prefer stable USD value for payments. MNEE ensures $5 sent = $5 received, without price volatility. Power users can still use BSV by specifying it in the command.

Unclaimed Payments

24-Hour Expiration & Refunds

When you send money to someone without a wallet, they have 24 hours to claim it:

Unclaimed Payment Flow:

1. You send: $10 to new user
2. System: Creates temporary wallet, notifies recipient
3. Recipient: Has 24 hours to reply "START"
4. If claimed: Wallet becomes permanent, funds available
5. If expired: Funds automatically refunded to you

Automatic Refunds

A background job runs every 5 minutes checking for expired payments. Both MNEE and BSV are refunded automatically after 24 hours. Both parties receive SMS notifications when refund occurs.
